Shannon was born and raised in Southern California. Growing up active Shannon found enjoyment through participation in High School Varsity Cross Country, Basketball and was Captain of the Swim Team. She graduated third in her senior class of over 600 students.
During her undergraduate time at the University of Santa Barbara California she competed on the college Crew Team and played intramural volleyball. She graduated from UCSB with a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish (Literature) and went on to complete her Master’s degree at the University of New Orleans in Health Care Management at the top of her class.
As a fitness enthusiast Shannon found her path into teaching and training when she and her family moved to Tulsa in 2013. With a strong desire to learn, she has accumulated many certifications and uses elements of each when crafting a program or class for clients.
Shannon’s training philosophy is highly influenced by her experience with open heart surgery which took place in 2014. As a young person who was driven and had built her persona as a strong and fit woman, she found great humility in applying yoga and self-love principles to a sick and then healing body. Four years after surgery Shannon is once again able to enjoy a fun and active lifestyle alongside her husband, two children, two dogs and five chickens.
My Training Approach:
I live, teach, and train by one motto: There’s no growth in the comfort zone. Life is too short to be spent in complacency and I thrive on creative approaches to functional fitness of the mind, body and spirit. The mindset I bring to each and every session is complete focus on you and your goals. I have lived my life long enough to know this is what I am on this earth to do and my multifaceted education lends itself to the ability to create a personalized and specific regimen for you.
When you train with me, you will walk away feeling accomplished. Not just because you worked hard in your workout, but because you are on the right track for a healthy and full life.
